Introduction
A Dashboard is a single webpage that contains tiles, and widgets. You can manage (create delete modify list) your dashboards set up in the configuration panel. But you can only edit the board content (tiles and widgets) and designs(layout) in the edit mode of the main panel. There is theoretically no limit on the number of tiles and widgets placed on a dashboard.
Dashboard Management
Creating a dashboard
Go to the configuration panel -> click on "dashboards" on the left menu -> click on "Add Board" in the top right corner.
Modifying a dashboard
Go to the configuration panel -> click on "dashboards" on the left menu -> Find the dashboard row you would like to modify -> Click on the gear icon to modify
Deleting a dashboard
Go to the configuration panel -> click on "dashboards" on the left menu -> Find the dashboard row you would like to delete -> Click on the cross icon to delete
Dashboard hierarchy
Dashboards are organized in a directory structure. Using this hierarchical structure, you can easily pack multiple dashboards into a full-fledged website. A parent dashboard can have multiple children dashboards while a children dashboard can have only one parent. To set a dashboard's parent board, in the create/modify a dashboard pop-up, choose the desirable parent board in the dropdown.
Switching between display mode and edit mode
A dashboard has two modes: display and edit. Display mode presents tiles and widgets in a read-only way, while the edit mode enables you to add/remove/reposition/resize all the tiles and widgets on the dashboard. To switch to edit mode

Sharing a dashboard
On the main panel click on the Bob logo in the top left corner -> click on "share" in the dropdown menu On the pop-up you could choose one of the three sharing options:
- To everyone: if “does the viewer need to register on MyBoardToday” is set to yes, then the board is shared with all the MyBoardToday registered users. Otherwise, everybody can view your board from the Internet, no matter whether they are registered or not.
- To a group of viewers: you need to input a comma-separated list of email addresses (jane@gmail.com,john@yahoo.com). Each email uniquely identifies the viewer you want to share the board with.
- Password protected: you need to input a board password to protect the board. Any MyBoardToday user with the correct password can then access your board.
Navigating between different dashboards
Go to the main panel, next to the Bob logo you will see a round-cornered box with the title of the current dashboard -> click on the rounded box and you will see a dropdown menu of all the dashboards available
Changing dashboard layout for different viewports
A dashboard is responsive. This means, its layout can adapt based on the size of the viewport (TV, desktop monitor, laptop monitor, tablet, and smartphone). However, for a dashboard with multiple tiles and widgets, this needs to be configured manually. We recommend you use a desktop monitor or laptop of at least 13 inches and perform the following operations:
- Open your dashboard and change to edit mode (click on the Bob logo in the top left corner -> click on "edit")
- Maximize the browser window
- Slowly reduce the size of the window to see how the tiles and widgets change and adjust their sizes and positions accordingly.
Keyboard Shortcuts
- Shift + Alt + s: Save board configuration and widget data
- Shift + Alt + w: Add new widget
- Shift + Alt + t: Add new tile
- Shift + Alt + e: Turn on edit mode (where tiles, widgets and board layout can be edited)
- Shift + Alt + m: Turn on main mode (default mode, where the board menu is shown, but the layout cannot be edited)
- Shift + Alt + d: Turn on display mode (where the board menu is hidden, and the layout cannot be edited)
